Three-Quarters Of Americans Believe Prices Rising,According To A Survey By American Consumer Opinion®
ARLINGTON, Texas – As the Christmas shopping season draws near, more than three-quarters of Americans
believe goods and services are rising in cost, according to a fall Internet
study by American Consumer Opinion®, a leading international marketing research
firm.
A considerably higher percentage of Americans than last year
believe prices are rising. In American Consumer Opinion®’s economic tracking
study during November 2001, 14% of respondents said prices were increasing
rapidly, while 41% said they were rising slowly. In November of this year, 19%
of respondents said prices were rising rapidly and 56% believed they were
rising slowly.

younger a respondent is, the less likely they are to say that prices are
increasing rapidly.While the older a
respondent is, the more likely they are to report that prices for goods and
services are increasing rapidly.The
